Sports ACTIVITIES

The Department of Physical Education is equipped with both indoor and outdoor facilities for the students both men and women to take part in individual and group activities of different tournaments.

  • Our college conducted V.R.S. Trophy -2015 Inter school tournaments for super seniors Games-Kho-Kho, Football, Volley Ball (Boys), and Badminton (Girls) during 23rd to 24th July 2015.
  • Our college conducted Anna University Zone V (Badminton) Women during 17th and 18th August 2015.
  • Our college conducted Anna University Zone V Chess (men & women) on 22nd August 2015
  • Our college conducted Anna University Zone V Football (Men) during 3rd to 4th September 2015.

Mr.R.Ranjith Kumar of III Mechanical, Mr.S.Vignesh of III Civil and Mr.K.Moorthy of IV Civil had been selected for Villupuram district cricket team U-23 cricket team to play TNCA inter district cricket tournament conducted at Salem from 17th to 19th July 2015.

 

Mr.T.Parthipan of IV Mech won silver medal in 20 km mini marathon conducted by Rasipuram Athletic Association, Rasipuram on 16th August 2015.

Mr.B.ArunRaj of III CSE, of Mr V.Arvind of II Civil, had been selected for Villupuram district cricket team U-19 cricket team to play TNCA inter district cricket tournament conducted at Trichy from 2nd to 4th September 2015.

Mr.A.MURALI, Director of Physical Education appointed as selection committee member for Judo (Men & women) Anna University inter zone competition at Park Engineering College, Coimbatore during 13th and 14th December 2015.

Mr.A.MURALI, Director of Physical Education appointed as Team manager for All India Inter University Gymnastic and Malkhamb men and women tournament held at Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab form 7th to 11th January 2016.

 

Mr.A.MURALI, Director of Physical Education appointed as selection committee member for Taekwondo (Men & women) Anna University inter zone competition held at Mailam Engineering College, Mailam from 20th & 21st February 2016.

S.Vaishnavi, of IV ECE, won Runner-up in CM Trophy 2015 in Hockey Inter District Tournament held at Mailam Engineering College, Mailam on 26th and 27th December 2015.

Kho-Kho team won the first place in Anna University Zone V Kho-Kho Men Tournament conducted for the third consecutive year at our College during 27th and 28th September 2016.

Runners Up – Cricket Team 7th Kapil Dev Rolling Trophy T20- Inter Collegiate Cricket Tournament conducted from 17th to 22th March 2017. Mr. A.Dinesh Nilavan of II EEE & Mr.R.Vignesh of I EEE was awarded Player of the Tournament and Best Bowler of the Tournament respectively

Athletic Team – Men won third place & won the following medals and certificates in Anna University Zone V Athletic meet conducted at Adhiparasakthi Engineering College, Melmaruvathur during 13th and 14th October 2016.

  • Conducted Anna University Zone V Badminton Women on 28th August 2016.
  • Conducted Anna University Zone V Volley Ball (Women) on 14th September 2016.
  • Conducted Anna University Zone V Kho-Kho Men during 27th and 28th September 2016.
  • Conducted State level inter District Sub Junior Boys Hockey Tournament from 26th to 28th December 2016.

Mr.V.Kalaivanan of III Mechanical Engineering had been qualified TNCA official scorer examination conducted by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, Chennai on 9th July 2016.

Mr.R.Ranjith Kumar of final year Mechanical and Mr.S.Vignesh of final year Civil got selected in Villupuram District Cricket Seniors Cricket Team to play Inter District Kalidoss Trophy T-20 Cricket Tournament conducted at Trichy from 15th to 18th July, 2016 and got selected in Villupuram District Cricket Team Under-23 Cricket Team to play TNCA Inter District Cricket Tournament conducted at Theni from 25th to 27th October 2016.

VRSCET jointly with Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu Hosted 7th Sub-Junior Hockey state Level Championship 2016-17 for boys from 25th to 28th December 2016. Nearly 26 teams participated from various district in Tamil Nadu, around 1000 players were accommodated.

Kho-Kho team participated in Anna University Inter Zone Kho-Kho Men Tournament conducted by King Engineering College, Naamakal during 2nd and 3rd January 2017

Cricket Team Participated in Pongal T20 cricket tournament conducted by private club in Villupuram District from 13th to 15th January 2017.

Mr.A.Surya Prakash of III year Civil, Provisionally selected to represent Anna Unversity Kho Kho Men Team, the south Zone Inter University Championship held at Mangalore University, Karnataka from 10th to 13th January 2017.

Tamil Nadu School Education jointly with VRSCET Hosted Bharathiyar Day / Republic Day TAKWONDO Championship from 25th to 27thJanuary 2017. Girls and Boys from 32 districts in Tamil Nadu participated in this Championship.

Kho-Kho team participated in Inter Collegiate Kho-Kho Men Tournament conducted by Thiyagarajar Engineering College, Madurai during 17th and 18th February 2017.

Mr.A.Murali, Director of Physical Education was appointed as selector for Anna University Kho-Kho Men Team for South Zone Inter University competition.

Mr.V.Kalaivanan of III Mechanical Engineering had been qualified TNCA official scorer examination conducted by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, Chennai on 9th July 2016.

Kho-Kho Team( Women) won Runner-up M.G.R. century year Trophy 2017 in Kho-Kho Inter Collegiate Tournament conducted by Tamil Nadu State Government held at V.R.S. College of Engineering & Technology, Arasur on 8th August 2017.
Football Team (Men) won third place in Anna University Zone-V Tournament conducted at Mailam Engineering College during 6th and 7th September 2017.
Mr.S.Sethupathy of II EEE secured first place in 5,000 mts & 10,000 mts,Mr M.Vijay of II Mech. won first Place in High jump for Boys and Ms.K Deepeka , IV Civil Engg, secured first place in High Jump & second palce in Shot put for Girls at the Anna University Zone-V Athletic meet conducted at Adhiparasakthi Engg. College, Melmaruvathur from 5th and 6th October 2017.

Mr.A.Suriya Prakash of Final Year Civil Engineering, has been selected to represent Anna University, Chennai, Kho-Kho Team (Men) for the South Zone Inter – University Competition held at University of Mysore, Karnataka from 17th to 20th January, 2018

Mr.A.Murali, Director of Physical Education was appointed as selection committee member for Taekwondo (Men & women) & Boxing (Men & women)Anna University Inter Zone Competition held at Mailam Engg. College from 21st to 22nd September 2017 and Kumaraguru College of Tech., Coimbatore on 12th Dec 2017 respectively.

Cricket Team won 8th Kapil Dev Rolling Trophy T20-Inter Collegiate Cricket Tournament conducted by our college from 1st to 8th February 2019. Mr. K.Guna of final Year was awarded Player of the Match.
Hockey Team (Men) won III Place in Anna University Zone V Hockey Tournament conducted at Mailam Engineering College during 18 th and 19th September 2018.
Kho-Kho Team (Men) Participated in Anna University Inter Zone Kho-Kho Tournament conducted at College of Engineering, Guindy during 1 st and 2 nd October 2018.
Football Team (Men) won third place in Anna University Zone-V Tournament conducted at Adhiyamaan Engineering College, Hosur during 1st and snd September 2018.
Athletic Team (Men) won Third Place and won the following medals and certificates in Anna University Zone V Athletic meet conducted at Adhiparasakthi Engineering College, Melmaruvathur during 28 th and 29th September 2018. Mr.S.Sethupathy of III Year EEE secured 1st Place in 5000 mts and 2nd Place in 10000 mts. Mr.M.Vijay of III Year Mechanical Secured 1st Place in High Jump and 2nd Place in Triple Jump. Mr. S.Praveenkumar of II Year Mechanical secured 3rd Place in 200 mts. Mr.A.Krishnamoorthy of IV Year Mechanical secured 3rd Place in shot-put.
Badminton Team (Men) Won Second Place in Anna University Zone V Badminton Tournament conducted at Adhiparasakthi Engineering College, Melmaruvathur during 5th and 6th October 2018.
